NOTES
If you want to make the hat larger, you can start with more chains. Keep always the 5 slip stitches, and the 5 half double crochet slip stitches (see the video for more information) at the top, and finish with half double crochet the other amount of stitches
Change the colour every 2 rows
Take always the back loops of the previous row
Chain 30
Row 1: 5 slip stitches, 5 half double crochet slip stitches, 20 half double crochet. Chain 2, turn
Row 2: 1 half double crochet increase, 18 half double crochet, 5 half double crochet slip stitch, 5 slip stitches. Skip the last stitch. Chain 1, turn
Change colour
Row 3: Skip 1 stitch, 5 slip stitches, 5 half double crochet slip stitches, 18 half double crochet, 1 half double crochet increase. Chain 2 turn
Row 4: Repeat row 2
Change colour
Repeat row 3 and row 2, changing the colour every 2 rows, to have the width of the hat
On the wrong side of the hat, join with slip stitches the sides od the row 1 and the last row
Make knots on the ends of each colour. With a tapestry needle, pass the yarn trough all the stitches on the top of the hat and pull. Make a knot. Works the ends. Sew a pom pom on the top of the hat
